LocalCelest weather education
Editorial policy
How LocalCelest Editorial prepares, sources, reviews, updates, and corrects educational content.
Purpose and scope
LocalCelest publishes U.S.-focused education about regional weather, local conditions, outdoor weather hazards, and practical safety decisions. Content is written to be useful on its own and does not depend on any separate service or product.
The publication does not issue forecasts, warnings, medical advice, veterinary advice, or emergency instructions. Readers should use current official information and follow directions from appropriate authorities and qualified professionals.
Source standard
Material safety claims prefer original guidance from the National Weather Service, NOAA, FEMA, CDC, USGS, EPA, and other relevant U.S. public agencies. Peer-reviewed research, universities, state or local emergency management, veterinary authorities, and recognized professional organizations may be used when their expertise is directly relevant.
Animal-specific guidance requires an appropriate animal-health or veterinary source. Human guidance is not automatically applied to animals.
Claim-level review
Each material claim is recorded with its page, source organization, exact source URL, underlying guidance, LocalCelest wording, date checked, and next review date. Search results and generated summaries are not treated as evidence.
Safety guidance is reviewed more frequently than evergreen explanatory or organizational material. A material source change, broken source, or changed official procedure triggers a new review.
Dates and revisions
Published guides identify when they were published, updated, and last source-reviewed. A modified date changes only when the public content changes substantively; routine technical or visual maintenance does not create a new editorial date.
Independence and attribution
“LocalCelest Editorial” means content prepared and maintained by the LocalCelest organization. LocalCelest is independent and is not affiliated with, reviewed by, sponsored by, or endorsed by the agencies and organizations it cites.
Corrections
Substantive corrections are reviewed against the original source, applied to the affected page, and recorded as a new editorial revision. Send correction requests to support@localcelest.com.
United States focus
LocalCelest uses U.S. terminology and U.S. public guidance. Alert names, criteria, services, and emergency procedures may differ in other countries.
